Christmas Gifts for Children Appeal: The Salvation Army can make good use of new gifts suitable for children 0-18, boys and girls. Not just toys, but hats, gloves, socks, warm tights, stationery, books, are very acceptable. They try to do a main gift and smaller ones for each child. Irene Williams, the new Salvation Army officer in Conniburrow, said they had just had a request for gifts for a family of six children, ‘That’s a lot of presents’. Gifts must not be wrapped, as parents need to see and know what their children will receive. Alison will take any donations to the Salvation Army if people would like to bring them to church.
